Rounding up the weekend with a special blend of appreciation for - not only Telemark - sports. A colorful display of national and local costumes as well as a mini Olympic parade, the Telemark Gala is great winter fun.
La Skieda is a delightful mixture of winter sports and a beautiful togetherness of International people who love mountains and snow. The "Telemark Gala" is a demonstration of how flexible and complete this splendid week of SUN, PARTIES, RACES AND SNOW really is.
Everyone is invited to this event, regardless of age, sex, type of sport or equipment. Unusual costumes and accessories are welcome.
Demonstration Teams from Clubs or from Nations should inform us of their participation beforehand at La Skieda Pavillon.
Champions from several different winter sport categories will join us for the festivities: Alpine skiers, Cross country, Short track skaters, Freestyle, Telemark, Snowboard, Snowblade etc.

Kurt has dedicated a good part of his life searching for secrets in the enormous emptiness the Grand Canyon, the mysterious amazon forests, the white deserts of Greenland as well as tragedies on K2.Born in Salsburg in 1932, Kurt now lives in Italy.
After this inspiring slide show, late night re-flexions may just be ever more interesting. Stop at Kuhstall Pub at Hotel Bivio and think about Telemark in the Quaternary, Pleistocene Donau. Right. What a day.
