La Trepallina

Thank God it's Monday. Here we go again.

Some people will arrive skiing down the back side on spring snow to this great Tele Party in Vallacia, a spectacular and remote Alpine valley on the Trepalle side of Livigno. Others will ride a snowmobile or skin up the path, working up an appetite for the BBQ so lovingly prepared by our faithful Trepalle crew. This will be the 6th. It's a festival within the festival.

Early Monday morning our trusty Alpine Guides will be ready and waiting to take you on a tour to "Monte Foscagno" (if you don't have a ARVA you can rent one at the Skieda Pavillon). If climbing up drags you down, try our daily "Save energy" guided powder runs. The run ends up at the bottom of Valaccia where the party is, just about in time for the 3rd Winter Valaccia Open Golf Tournament. Golf Club members are reminded to bring a colored golf ball for obvious reasons.

After lunch all spectators and participants are invited to join us in our annual "Big Turn" event. As always, hand in hand we'll be trying to break Dickie Hall's world record by making the longest human chain Telemark turn in the history of skiing.

After sundown, come over to the Skieda Pavillon for a scientific explanation of Kristiana and Telemark by Arnold Klien.

If by then you are on your last permanently bent (but happy) leg, get over quick to the Cinema Lux for our main cultural night. You can sit comfortably through this one. The winners of the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Alberta Canada, otherwise known as "The Best of the Festival", on tour all over the world will be projecting five exciting movies for us.
